Chef Armand Toutaint Joins Battle Against Cancer at SHADE’s Bubbles & Bites

Turner Fisheries Chef de Cuisine Armand Toutaint will lend his culinary expertise to a great cause at the SHADE Foundation’s Bubbles and Bites next month. This glamorous, Champagne-soaked event raises money each year to raise awareness for the detection and prevention of melanoma. The fifth-annual celebration pops at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7 at the Ritz-Carlton Boston Common. Revelers will enjoy bite-sized portions from celebrity chefs that include our own Toutaint. Bubbly libations, live music, and a silent auction and raffle round out the night.

This year, the SHADE Foundation will honor Dr. Harley Anderson Haynes as the 2011 Ray of Hope Leadership Honoree. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is a professor at Harvard Medical School. Shonda Schilling, wife of MLB pitcher Curt Schilling, formed the SHADE Foundation in 2002 to help prevent others from having to battle skin cancer like she did.
